How can I size down a ring that is to big?

I need help sizing down a ring I had ordered online. I really like it and don't want to return it. It is only one size too big. I know there are ring guards out there, does anyone know where I can find them online or elsewhere? Or any other suggestions on how to size down a ring. The ring is a size 7 and I need it to be a Size 6. Thanks!

I think you want to look for a "ring adjuster" - either a plastic or a metal gizmo that slips inside the ring. I have this kind of thing in some old rings and they work well

Is it something that you're going to wear for a long time? If so and it's a metal that can be resized, take it to a jewler and have it done. I think it should be less than $50 to get it permanently resized.
